Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Outpace collects, why we collect it, and what you can do about it. We've kept it short and in plain English.

Who we are

Outpace ("we", "us") provides competitor reports for restaurants and cafés, delivered on WhatsApp. For anything about your data, email hello@outpacethem.com.

What we collect

• From the early-access form: your restaurant or café name, your WhatsApp number and your email address.
• Analytics data, only if you agree: how you use our website, such as the pages you visit, the buttons you click, your rough location (city or country) and the type of device and browser you use. We don't collect this unless you accept analytics cookies.
• Messages you send us on WhatsApp or by email.

Why we use it

• To contact you about early access to Outpace.
• To prepare your reports and send them, along with alerts and answers, on WhatsApp.
• To understand how people use our website so we can improve it (only with your consent).

We don't sell your personal data, and we don't use it for advertising by anyone else.

Public data about restaurants

To build audits, we look at information that is already public about your restaurant and your competitors. This includes Google Maps and search listings, review sites, delivery apps, social media, community forums and AI assistant answers. This is business information, not private information about individuals. If public content includes a person's name (for example, the name on a review), we only use it to understand trends. We never use it to contact or profile that person.

Who processes your data

We use trusted service providers to run Outpace. They only handle your data to provide their service to us:

• Hosting: the servers that run our website.
• Database: where early-access requests and account details are stored securely.
• Google Sheets (Google): a private copy of early-access registrations, including your restaurant or café name, WhatsApp number, email, submission time, source page and registration ID.
• WhatsApp (Meta): to send you messages, reports and alerts.
• Analytics (Google Analytics): to measure website use, only if you agree.

Some of these providers may store data outside India. Where they do, we rely on their security and data-protection commitments.

How long we keep it

We keep your early-access details for as long as you're on our list or using Outpace. If you ask us to remove you, or we haven't been in touch for 24 months, we delete your details. The only exception is anything we're legally required to keep. Analytics data is kept for up to 14 months.

Your rights

Under India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act), you can:

• ask what personal data we hold about you and how we use it;
• ask us to correct or update it;
• ask us to delete it;
• withdraw your consent at any time, for example by declining analytics cookies or asking us to stop messaging you;
• nominate someone to act for you if you can't;
• raise a complaint with us and, if you're not satisfied, with the Data Protection Board of India.

To use any of these rights, email hello@outpacethem.com. We'll reply within 30 days.

Keeping your data safe

We use secure connections and restrict access to your data to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect your information. If there's a breach, we'll tell you and the authorities as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. If the changes are significant, we'll tell you on WhatsApp or by email.
